The CX2030-1020 is a high-performance Embedded PC by the Beckhoff CX Series, which comes with an Intel Core i7 2610UE processor, operated at 1.5 GHz, and has 2 cores. It supports even the most demanding industrial applications. The system includes 20 GB or 40 GB CFast flash memory, depending on the operating system selected. Additional expansion options are available on request if so necessary.

The CX2030-1020 is outfitted with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, which can be ex-factory expanded up to 4 GB for better performance in more memory-hungry applications. There are multiple interface options to support networking, displays, and peripherals with 2 x RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, 1 x DVI-I, and 4 x USB 2.0, and the system has one optional interface for added flexibility. Default active cooling is by passive means, with ex-factory available for higher work loads. Active diagnostic LEDs enable real-time status updates on the following: power, TC Status, Flash access, and Bus status. All this makes it easy to monitor the operating performance of the system. The CX2030-1020 supports several OS: there is support for Windows Embedded Compact 7, Windows Embedded Standard 7 P, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2016 LTSB, and TwinCAT/BSD, which is convenient for the user to make the right OS choice for the applications. Control software embraces TwinCAT 2 runtime and TwinCAT 3 runtime (XAR), both optimized for real-time control environments.

It is powered by a 24 V DC (-15%/+20%) input, and it holds 128 kB of Novram for the retention of data. The power consumption of the system is as high as maximum of 27 W power, and therefore, it is power-friendly with high computing power. The weight of the CX2030-1020 is approximately 1165 grams.
