The CX2030-0115 CPU Module manufactured by Beckhoff used as the central controller in automation systems. It is one of the parts of the CX Embedded PC Systems Series that includes a wide range of basic CPU modules that are used for their specific functionalities.

The CX2030-0115 CPU module supports multiple standard interfaces for networking, display, USB peripherals and optional extensions for flexibility in industrial integration. For storing the operating system, runtime software and project data on solid state CFast memory it has 20 or 40 GB flash memory which ensures fast access and durability in harsh environments. It is capable of working in 95% humidity level provided that condensation does not occur which preserves internal electronics from moisture damage. The module is capable of handling graphically intensive tasks and is suitable for advanced HMI or real time 3D path visualization. It has 128 kb of non-volatile RAM which stores persistent data such as process values or logs without needing backup batteries or UPS systems. In this module the TwinCAT 3 runtime executes real time control logic and supports automation tasks such as PLC, NC and CNC in one environment. It requires a controlled environment as it is only protected against touch by fingers and objects >12 mm.

The CX2030-0115 CPU moduleruns on a standard industrial supply of 24 volts DC which allows easy integration into control cabinets and automation systems. When powered off it can withstand temperatures up to -40 to 85 Degrees which ensures safe transport or idle storage. It is suitable for medium performance automation applications as it has a main memory of 2GB DDR3 RAM which enables fast program execution and real time control.
