The CX2030-0112 is an embedded PC manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the CX Embedded PC Systems series. Designed for DIN-rail installation inside a control cabinet, the module serves as the programmable logic controller and visualization host for automated machines and production cells. By uniting CPU, storage, and communication interfaces in a 144 mm-wide housing, it allows motion sequences, process control, and HMI tasks to execute on a compact industrial platform without external PCs.

Processing performance is delivered by a Intel Core i7 2610UE processor that runs at 1.5 GHz across two cores, offering deterministic execution for real-time TwinCAT tasks. System variables, code, and buffers are held in 2 GB DDR3-RAM, a size adequate for medium-sized PLC projects and in-controller data logging. During full load the electronics draw up to 27 W, so cabinet thermal design can rely on convection cooling in most environments. The electronics accept a control-cabinet supply of 24 V DC; internal conversion stages generate the regulated rails for CPU, chipset, and I/O slices.
