Beckhoff introduces the CX2020-0185 as a powerful member of the Embedded PC CX Series which has been designed to withstand the harsh conditions of industrial applications. The processor used in this device is an Intel® Celeron® 827E with a processor speed of 1.4GHz and one core designed to deliver dependable and fast operation.
It is endowed with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, which can be cemented to 4 GB in the factory, which is quite enough to work with more complex tasks. Memory is expandable and you can choose to have a 20GB or 40GB CFast flash card depending on the operating system installed and can be expanded if necessary. Connectivity is full, with two LAN RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet, one DVI-I video output, and four USB 2.0 peripherals. Another slot is also provided as an interface option which can be configured based on customer’s preference. The cooling in the CX2020-0185 is passive, although the AGM can supply active cooling if needed as an integrated part of the system. To control the system diagnostic monitoring there is a presence of LEDs that show power, TC status, flash access, and bus status which makes the management of the system easy. The embedded PC also has a built-in lithium battery-backed real-time clock which keeps the time and date even when power is off.
