The CX2020-0110 is a high-performance embedded PC belonging to the Beckhoff CX series powered by the Intel Celeron 827E processor that runs at a frequency of 1.4 GHz. Available in single-core model version, it guarantees dependable computation in industrial uses. There is 20 GB or 40 GB of CFast flash memory, depending on the pre-installed oem os; control unit comes with memory cards slots and is provided with 2 GB DDR3 RAM which can be increased to 4 GB if necessary.

The CX2020-0110 is equipped with a number of ports and connectors such as 2 x RJ45 providing 10/100/1000 Mbit/s network connectivity, 1 x DVI-I video out and 4 x USB 2.0 connectors for extra devices attachments. In addition, it is possible to provide also an optional interface that will be fitted if requested. The system can be cooled in a passive manner. An additional kit comprising of a more efficient cooling unit is available in case the system requires more elaborate cooling provisions. It is capable of running and does run several operating systems such as Windows Embedded Compact 7, Windows Embedded Standard 7 P and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2016 LTSB as well as TwinCAT/BSD. In addition, control of automation is also done via TwinCAT 2 runtime and TwinCAT 3 runtime.

A rectangular power supply module that assists connection to the I/O is also compatible with either E-bus or K-bus modules via an autocrystalline phase recognition technique. The input is given as 24 V DC and the maximum output is 21 W. Approximately 1160 g is the weight of the CX2020-0110, which in turn translates to more stability and durability for a number of industrial usages.
