The CX1800-0101-0004 is a removable system image produced by Beckhoff for the CX Embedded PC Systems series. It supplies a ready-to-use operating system environment to the CX Embedded PC controller line, allowing the hardware to boot directly into a configuration geared for human-machine interface, data acquisition, and field-bus communication. By providing a validated runtime, the module cuts integration time when these embedded PCs are placed inside distributed control panels.

The image loads Windows CE.NET, and that real-time capable kernel gives deterministic task scheduling for machine control. Beckhoff compiled this release on the CE 5.0 platform, so it supports the current driver stack used throughout the CX family.
