The CX1030-0111 is an advanced level Embedded PC of the Beckhoff CX Series specifically designed to meet the extreme needs of modern industrial automation. The unit is based on an advanced Intel Pentium M processor, which operates clocks at 1.8 GHz. Hence, it ensures dependable operation for end-users in automation applications. The system provides adequate processing capability for systems that require a stable and quick on-off control response with 1 core..

The CX1030-0111 along with an ex-factory memory capacity of 1GB has within it a functional 256MB DDR RAM which further allows enhancing option when the need arises. The storage solutions are a Compact Flash card slot with 128MB onboard that can be upgraded to accommodate larger sizes applicable to further changes in the size of storage capacity. The system features two RJ45 Ethernet ports for connectivity, and allows for up to 10/100 Mbit/s speed, which means rapid transfer of data or fast incorporation of the system into the network.

Another component of the encased system is a cooling module with fan cartridge. The system brings in an internal battery-powered clock for proper time and date management, the battery is manageable and can be changed after long use. The CX1030-0111 has support for some operating systems. These include: Windows Embedded CE 6 and Windows Embedded Standard 2009. Support of TwinCAT 2 runtime software including PLC runtime, NC PTP runtime and NC I runtime is also there. For expansion 16-bit ISA system bus PC/104 is available in the system. Apart from that, there is one Compact Flash type I+II slot with an eject option on it. The CX1030-0111 requires a 32W power supply and this is connected via the system bus.
