The high-end Beckhoff CX1030-0110 is an Embedded PC belonging to the CX Series that deals with control and monitoring processes in industries, in particular industrial automation. With regards to performance, it has a single device Intel® Pentium® M processor at 1.8 Ghz which is ideal for computation intensive real time tasks. The system is equipped with 256MB RAM of DDR which is manufacturer upgradeable up to 1GB and it also contains a Compact Flash card slot that has 128MB of memory and can be used with memory cards of larger capacity for more memory.
It is also integrated with 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports, both of which support 10/100 Mbit/s, built-in internal switch. Moreover, the PC uses a fan cartridge cooling system that has speed control as well as two ball bearing temperature-controlled fans for a long-lasting performance. Diagnostics consist of light emitting diodes (LEDs) for power, LAN activity, TwinCAT status and flash activity among other subsystem indicators to enhance system operation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
