The CX1020-N030 is a communication component supplied by Beckhoff within the CX Embedded PC Systems series. The module functions as a serial interface that enables CX controllers to exchange data with external devices on the factory floor. Its role in industrial automation is to transmit and receive control or diagnostic information between the embedded PC and peripheral instruments that use standard serial protocols, allowing legacy sensors, drives, and operator panels to remain integrated into modern PC-based control architectures.
