The Beckhoff CX1020-0121 is a member of the CX Series Embedded PC family which is area efficient, small and light weight. It contains an Intel® Celeron® M ULV processor at a clock frequency of 1 GHz which makes it applicable in real time control processes. This is a one core processor making it excellent for smooth and steady automation work.
The device features 256MB DDR RAM, which goes to an upper level of 1GB. The expansion ends enable the users to cater for applications that are more intense in memory need. It also has a Compact Flash card slot which includes 128MB of memory and additional slots for extra capacity if needed. Two RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s ports equipped with an internal switch out of two used are available in the CX1020-0121 with as good performance where communication is required. This device relies on passive cooling, but for certain applications where more power is needed extra active cooling can be factory-fitted.
