The Beckhoff CX1010-0112 Embedded PC is a Compact And Energy Efficient Embedded PC of the CX Series for the Industry Automation. It is equipped with Intel® Pentium® MMX compatible 500 MHz clock microprocessor that helps in controlling real time applications. The processor is uniprocessor and therefore performance is stable as far as the applications like PLC and motion control are concerned. The CX1010-0112 has 256 MB DDR RAM which is also not modularized for increasing nor providing embedded control functions as such sufficient memory. There is a Compact Flash slot and 128 MB of compact flash module internal storage which can be extended hence storage.
This embedded PC is provided with one RJ45 Ethernet port which supports 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet for industrial applications. The passive cooling technique employed in this device enables it to operate in silence since there are no active cooling components incorporated into the system. The status of the system is displayed through the use of the diagnostic LED’s which presents information on the power, LAN speed and activity, TwinCAT status, and flash status and access.
The CX1010-0112 comes with an IP20 therefore it is appropriate for implementation in limited and controlled industrial environments. Channels of communication between the CPU and the I/O modules are ensured by the 16-bit technology ISA PC/104 system bus and the device incorporates the modules of E-bus or K-bus or IP-Link for I/O.
