Designed for scalable automation applications where low power consumption and flexible flexibility are crucial, the Beckhoff CX1000-C00L is a small and efficient Embedded PC of the CX1000 family. Operating on Microsoft Windows CE, this model is well-suited for real-time control applications since it has a 533 MHz Intel® IXP420 CPU (Mega hertz), 64 MB (Mega bytes) of Flash memory, and 64 MB of RAM (Random Access Memory). The major communication interfaces on the machine are two Ethernet ports, one USB, and one RS232. Operating on a 24 V DC (24 Volts of Direct Current) power source, it has an IP20 protection certification, which qualifies it for installation in control cabinets and protected locations.
Part of Beckhoff's modular CX Embedded PC System, the Beckhoff CX1000-C00L links via a 16-bit PC104 bus, hence enabling expansion with other system components like audio modules and serial interfaces (RS232, RS422, RS485). The basic system consists of a power supply module (CX1100-000x) and a CPU module (CX1000-0000), with the option to include fieldbus connections including DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, CANopen, SERCOS, and Lightbus in both master and slave setups. Other setups may include a DVI interface, USB connections, and TwinCAT integration for PLC or motion control duties (PLC alone or NC PTP). Depending on application needs, memory may be 64 MB (Mega-Bytes) Flash for Windows XP Embedded usage with 128 MB (Mega-Byte) RAM (Random Access Memory).
The baseline default 64 MB might suffice for most industrial automation tasks, however, if required, this embedded PC can be paired with a 128 MB memory too. With modular expandability in a small, DIN-rail-mountable architecture, the Beckhoff CX1000-C00L offers great performance for embedded control systems in equipment and industrial automation.
