Beckhoff CX1000-0110 Embedded PC has a 266 MHz AMD Geode CPU that is energy efficient and produces less heat thus, does not require a fan. This feature makes the unit noisy and requires less maintenance.
The internal memory of the PC can be expanded to 32MB Flash and 128MB RAM which is quite suitable for use in many industrial solutions. This model is configurable with the Windows CE.NET or Windows XP Embedded operating system. It also integrates fully with Beckhoff’s TwinCAT software, effectively turning the system into a capable PLC and Motion Control system useful in several automation applications. Networking is achieved through an Ethernet (RJ-45) interface and a serial communication port (COM1) through an RS232 interface. The optional features are a DVI output and two USB 2.0 ports to increase its display and connectivity options for other peripherals.
