Product Description:
The C9900-U332 is a battery module designed by Beckhoff within the C9 PC Accessories series. Intended for uninterruptible power support in industrial PCs, it stores energy that bridges brief power failures so control tasks can complete safely. The module combines two maintenance-free sealed lead batteries and mates with a Beckhoff UPS controller through a keyed plug terminal.
In normal service the module presents a nominal output of 24 V, achieved by wiring its two battery blocks in series. The combined storage amounts to 1.2 Ah, providing short-term buffer energy for IPC shutdown or ride-through. Beckhoff selected a VRLA-AGM chemistry, so the cells are valve-regulated and immobilize the electrolyte to allow any mounting orientation without leakage. Protection is handled through a resettable 9 A polymer PTC fuse that limits fault current before the UPS electronics engage. Power is routed through a terminal strip that accommodates conductors up to 1.5 mm², and this size supports the required surge currents with minimal voltage drop while remaining convenient for cabinet wiring. The batteries are wired in a series configuration from the factory.
Installation favors compact control enclosures because the metal housing measures 68.7 × 106.6 × 143.8 mm and snaps onto a TS 35 × 15 DIN rail next to the IPC power supply. Each internal battery block is rated at 12 V, matching the voltage level used in the series-connected pack. Cabling between the UPS controller and battery module may reach 10 m, and this length keeps voltage drop within limits set by the 180 mΩ internal resistance of the pack. An 8-pin terminal strip accepts two wires per side, allowing parallel sense leads in addition to power conductors. The metal enclosure also provides grounded shielding for electromagnetic compatibility.
