Product Description:
The C9900-U122 is an uninterruptible power supply module built by Beckhoff and placed in the C9 PC Accessories series. Designed to sit alongside industrial PCs and control cabinets, it maintains short-term power during brownouts or outages so automation controllers can complete critical tasks or bridge brief disturbances. By integrating a UPS directly at the equipment level, it supports continued operation during brief power events without requiring large external backup hardware.
Three battery-backup sockets supply ride-through energy for control hardware, while a dedicated surge-only receptacle serves noncritical loads. The unit works from a nominal input of 115 V, and the internal transfer relay switches to battery when the line falls below 106 Vac or returns to mains once it exceeds 127 Vac. These thresholds help protect connected equipment from undervoltage and overvoltage conditions that could interrupt logic power. Connection to the supply network is through a NEMA 5-15P plug that mates with standard North American outlets. Data ports routed through the RJ-45/RJ-11 combo jack and a 10/100 Base-TX interface allow status reporting to the host PC. The unit provides 3 battery-backed outlets, and a separate surge-only outlet isolates auxiliary loads from line noise.
The housing carries an IP20 rating, indicating finger protection but no resistance to moisture, so the unit should be installed inside an enclosure. Ambient operation is permitted up to 40 °C and at relative humidity levels as high as 95% without condensation. Reliable performance is maintained to 2000 m altitude, and the electronics can be stored up to 15240 m for shipment. The design falls under overvoltage category II, which is suitable for fixed equipment connected downstream of the main distribution panel. In addition, surge protection extends through the data line port, and the surge-only outlet carries a 500 VA rating for auxiliary peripherals.
