Product Description:
The C9900-P943 belongs to the Beckhoff C9 PC Accessories series and serves as a pluggable terminal block for signal or low-power distribution inside industrial control cabinets. Beckhoff supplies this female connector so that users can route discrete I/O or auxiliary voltages to compatible industrial PC platforms. This reduces the need to run individual wires to every board location and simplifies cabinet assembly and service.
The connector accepts conductors that engage a contact bore of 1.5 mm, and those conductors are secured by a locking method that relies on a screw clamp. The center-to-center distance between adjacent contacts is 3.50 mm, a pitch that establishes clearance when using standard 18–22 AWG leads. When fully fastened to the specified 0.2 Nm torque, the clamp maintains the housing connection, and the overall assembly carries an ingress protection level of IP20, indicating touch safety but no resistance to liquid entry. Copper-alloy contacts provide low resistive losses, and their female geometry mates with complementary pin headers arranged in two rows. The connector supports Insulation Group I clearances, operates in Overvoltage Category 2 environments, and is designed for use where cabinet air may contain conductive dust classified as Pollution Level 3 on external faces and Level 2 inside the enclosure. There is no built-in shielding, so external EMC measures must be taken when routing high-frequency signals.
The housing is molded from plastic to minimize weight and to insulate each contact independently. Mechanical endurance is specified for 25 mating operations, making the block suitable for occasional module replacement rather than daily cycling. With an Overvoltage Category of 2, it can be installed on circuits that are fed from the secondary side of an isolating transformer. The four conductive paths, arranged as 4 positions across two staggered rows, allow compact connection of paired supply rails. A copper-alloy contact set, female interface, and a row count of two help maintain consistent insertion force while the Pollution Level rating guides enclosure cleanliness requirements.
