Product Description:
The C9900-P224 is a compact power distribution module developed by Beckhoff for the C9 PC Accessories series. Installed alongside Beckhoff Industrial PC motherboards, the board turns a cabinet’s 24-volt field supply into the regulated ATX rails needed by processors, drives, and peripheral electronics. It supports mounting behind 19-inch front panels, allowing the entire control computer to share the same low-voltage source as other DIN-rail equipment. By integrating standard connectors with spring-cage terminals, the unit keeps connection points accessible in densely wired enclosures.
At the input, a nominal 24 V DC line enters through an 8-pole plug, and the assembly can draw up to 15 A when every rail is active. A fuse rated at 16 A limits fault current before it reaches downstream traces. Internally, the conversion stage is specified for 150 W of aggregate output. The 5 V logic bus delivers 20 A for processors and I/O cards, while the 12 V peripheral rail supplies 5 A for drives, fans, or illumination. A standby branch provides 1 A at 5 Vsb so wake-capable circuitry remains powered even when the main system is shut down. These outputs share common return paths to reduce ground loops.
For battery-backed operation, a UPS header exposes 27 V DC at up to 1.4 A, keeping capacitors charged during brownouts. The motherboard connects through a MOLEX-34045-1613 socket with 16 aligned pins, and a dedicated sense line provides power-status monitoring with a 0.5 A load. Field wiring is accommodated by press-fit cages that accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², and the detachable terminal block carries a continuous 16 A connector rating to match upstream protection. Mechanical clearances conform to 19-inch panels, ensuring the board fits behind front plates without interfering with neighboring card slots.
