Product Description:
The C9900-P209 power supply unit is produced by Beckhoff as part of the C9 PC Accessories series. Designed for 19-inch control cabinets, the module delivers regulated auxiliary voltages to Beckhoff industrial PCs and embedded controllers. By converting the cabinet’s DC source to several stabilized rails, it supports continuous operation of logic, peripheral, and UPS circuits within automation systems. Its mechanical format matches a maximum panel size of 19 inches, enabling direct rack installation beside other C9900 components.
During normal operation, the supply draws a 15 A input from the upstream bus and can deliver a maximum of 250 W to attached loads. Two primary rails are available: the 5 V line supports up to 14 A, while the 12 V line provides 12 A for fans, sensors, or fieldbus modules. A power-status contact is driven at 0.5 A, and a standby circuit furnishes 1.5 A when the main section is disabled, keeping diagnostic electronics active without excessive demand. Integrated UPS functionality produces 27 V DC at up to 1.4 A, allowing external battery packs to be charged and then to back up the 24 V control domain during power loss. The 97.0 mm front width keeps wiring distances short inside compact enclosures.
Mechanical integration is simplified by the unit’s 44.0 mm front height, a 204.9 mm housing depth, and a mass of only 0.85 kg. These proportions allow installation on slide rails without exceeding typical rack load limits. Reliability in harsh plant areas is supported by resistance to 5 G shocks lasting 30 ms, performance that protects the populated PCB during forklift impacts or transport vibrations. The design tolerates ambient humidity up to 95% without condensation, so enclosure climate control is required only in extreme environments. When cabinet power is present, the unit stands by on its low-current rails; after an outage, the UPS rail bridges short interruptions so controller logic can complete shutdown procedures.
