It serves as a link between field devices and control hardware, allowing high-speed data exchange inside automated machines and control cabinets.
This cord is classified as Cat.6A, so it supports 10 Gbps communication over distances appropriate to factory networks, and the overall reach of a single unit is 3.00 m. A cable rated voltage of 125 V provides insulation strength for incidental contact with low-voltage circuits, while a characteristic impedance of 100 Ω helps maintain signal integrity for differential Ethernet pairs. One end terminates in a M12 male, 8-pin, X-coded connector whose metal shell provides vibration-resistant coupling. It is sealed to IP65/67, so the interface remains dust-tight and resistant to water jets and brief immersion.
