Product Description:

The BX5200-0000 is a Terminal Bus controller designed with a DeviceNET slave interface built by Beckhoff Automation. This unit normally operates with about 64 state-of-the-art Bus Terminals and a single Bus end terminal; however, customers can extend its functionality to include up to 255 Bus terminals through the use of an extension system. The automation software suited for this product unit is the TwinCAT software; for this configuration to happen, operators are required to be familiar with the PLC programming interface, the system manager, and the TwinCAT scope. There is a serial port interface labelled (COM 1) on this product; this interface is used in the exchange of data with this unit. It is estimated that about 512 bytes of input and output data can be exchanged with this controller in real-time.

The BX5200-0000 Terminal Bus controller is able to maintain an automatic baud rate detection of 500 kilobaud per second. The bus interface of this product features an open-style five-pin connector design. A Film-Compensated Super-Twisted Nematic display (FSTN) is also integrated into this product unit. This display is able to show up to 16 characters for diagnostic purposes. There are also LED displays that provide information about the power supply and K-bus status of this unit. A real-time clock is integrated into the housing of this unit; this clock is supported by an independent battery.

The BX5200-0000 requires an input current of about 140 milliamperes; this input current can be as high as 4,500 milliamperes. The enclosure of this product unit is able to provide protection against large solids with an external diameter larger than 12 millimeters and also human interference. CE and UL Approval markings are present on the housing of this product.
