Product Description:
The BK9053 is a Bus Coupler that is most commonly used for tasks in industrial automations. It is made by Beckhoff and it is one of the most effective product of the BK EtherCAT Bus Couplers series.
The BK9053 Bus Coupler has a standard Ethernet cable limit for reliable communication over PROFINET networks. It can interface with a large number of analog input and output modules such as up t0 256 which enables complex signal processing. The module supports a common Ethernet based topology of star wiring which allows point to point structured connections via switches. The module provides power to connected Input and output terminals on the K bus which is sufficient for Input and Output setup. It supports real time ethernet communication with diagnostics and configuration over Class B PROFINET. The module connects to the PROFINET network via a standard Ethernet port of RJ45. The internal power consumption increases based on the Input and Output load attached. The voltage and current ratings that can be passed to downstream terminals or sensors is 24 volts DC and 10 amperes respectively. It comes with a data transfer rate of up to 100 Mbit per seconds which enables flexible communication speeds and with auto negotiation for backward compatibility.
The BK9053 bus coupler supports software based setup and diagnostics using the KS2000 configuration tool. It is suitable for use in explosive gas atmospheres with restricted energy circuits. It has a high input and output data throughput capacity of 512 byte input and 512 byte output which enables detailed device communication on the bus. It has an inrush current of 2.5 x continuous current during power up which is important for sizing protection devices. It supports up to 512 inputs and outputs modules for controlling and monitoring binary signals.
