Product Description:
The Beckhoff BK9050 is a bus coupler from the BK EtherCAT Bus Coupler Series, designed to support a wide range of automation tasks with reliable and fast data transfer. It operates at 10/100 Mbit/s and is capable of handling up to 64 bus terminals, or 255 terminals with the K-bus extension, making it scalable for larger systems. This device supports 512 bytes for both input and output on the fieldbus, allowing for efficient data management in industrial environments.
In terms of I/O capacity, the BK9050 can handle 1,020 digital peripheral signals and 128 analog peripheral signals, making it versatile for applications that require a combination of digital and analog inputs/outputs. The coupler is configurable using the KS2000 software, which provides easy setup and system integration.
The BK9050 supports multiple protocols, including TwinCAT ADS, Modbus TCP, and Beckhoff real-time Ethernet, making it compatible with various control systems. It has a single RJ45 bus interface for Ethernet connectivity and uses 4 x 2 twisted pair copper cable (category 3 for 10 Mbit/s and category 5 for 100 Mbit/s) for data transfer. The device automatically recognizes the transmission rate, ensuring efficient and seamless communication. This coupler operates with a 24 V DC power supply and has an input current of 70 mA plus the K-bus current, with a maximum input current of 500 mA. It supports a current supply of 1750 mA for the K-bus and can handle power contacts up to 24 V DC and 10 A. The starting current is approximately 2.5 times the continuous current, and the recommended fuse is ≤ 10 A.
