The BK7520 is a small bus coupler, utilized for distributed control system applications. It supports a maximum of 64 bus terminals in its standard specification. The device can be programmed to control 255 terminals in a K-bus extension mode. A maximum of 1,020 digital and 254 analog peripheral signals are processed by the device. Flexible I/O capability is one of the facilities of the equipment for different kinds of applications.

Fieldbus interface accommodates up to 254 master-dependent I/O analog. It provides for quick and efficient cyclic data exchange in high complexity systems. The BK7520 can be programmed using the KS2000 programming software tool. It provides convenient setup facilities with parameter parameters that can be easily adjusted. It supports FSMA-compliant data interface according to IEC 872-2. It employs 1,000 µm plastic fiber optic to provide clean and interference-free data transfer. This makes it appropriate for high electrical noise environments. Transfer rates are programmable in 2, 4, 8, or 16 Mbaud. The rate can be altered by a physical switch for configuration. This makes the system able to be adaptable to evolving communication needs. Power management is also well synchronized. The first current is 2.5 times as much as constant current. There should be protection by a less than 10 A fuse. K-bus power supply gives 1750 mA for supply to terminal chains. This does not compromise long configurations but permits them.
