Product Description:
The BK7500 bus coupler is engineered for dependable communication in industrial automation scenarios, facilitating efficient network performance. This unit supports 64 bus terminals and offers a versatile interface for connecting various devices within a system, ensuring seamless data transfer. It handles 256 digital peripheral signals and 128 analog peripheral signals, making it adaptable to different application needs. For its power needs, the bus coupler works with a 24 V DC supply, allowing for a tolerance of -15%/+20% to accommodate varying power conditions.
The BK7500 bus coupler utilizes a 1,000 μm plastic fiber optic medium for data communication, ensuring reliable transmission even in noisy environments, through its support of FSMA standard, IEC 872-2 for bus interface. The data transfer rates are adjustable at 2/4 Mbaud using a configuration switch, allowing optimization based upon network requirements, leading toward maximized potential. Configuration is easy through KS2000 allowing straightforward setup for applications through its various ports, settings and possibilities, through adjustments to its many setting for an ideal integration. The cyclic interface allows for 32 byte input/32 byte output capacity through the process data exchange mechanism (configurable according to the master).
This bus coupler has a current draw of 70 mA + (combined K-bus current divided by 4, with 500 mA maximum) along with 2.5 x continuous current of starting current, so careful consideration must be paid when deciding which components to add to avoid system problems due to overloading. The K-bus provides 1750 mA of current, giving connected modules stable power. A fuse of ≤ 10 A is advised for proper circuit protection, providing safety through an overcurrent situation. The power contacts provide a max. 24 V DC/max. 10 A, supplying external devices and avoiding power overload problems.
