Product Description:

Beckhoff's BK7000 is a functional and sturdy EtherCAT Bus Coupler that enables interchange of Beckhoff's modular I/O terminals into a ControlNet network infrastructure. One of the BK EtherCAT Bus Couplers series, it can efficiently and high speed communicate with 5 MBaud baud rate (ControlNet V1.5) and capable of supporting up to 64 bus terminals, a right product for scalable industrial automation systems.

The BK7000 operates with a 24 V DC supply, with an acceptable range of 20 to 29 V DC, and ensures that the instrument can deliver consistent performance in the field. The output current delivered by the coupler over the K-bus is up to 1750 mA, allowing stable power to be distributed to all connected I/O terminals. The system provides excellent flexibility for different input/output combinations as it supports 256 digital and 256 analog peripheral signals. Due to its compact design, with an approximate weight of 170 grams, the coupler is easy to install in space constrained environments. ControlNet (A and B) network data exchange is managed by two BNC connectors, and one NAP port provides access for creating redundant and reliable network systems. Additionally, it supports 512 input and 512 output bytes for massive data throughput with low latency.

The BK7000 has an operating temperature range of 0C to +55C, making it well suited for use in controlled industrial settings. The power contacts can take 24 V DC/AC with a maximum load current of 10 A, featuring a strong, steadfast electrical connection for all electrical components. With its high efficiency, modularity and ControlNet capability, the coupler represents a smart solution for users requiring flexible and high performance control system expansion.
