Product Description:

The BK5250 EtherCAT bus coupler supplied by Beckhoff has a compact design. This coupler is used to connect a modular extendable bus terminal with its fieldbus system. The product supports up to 64 terminals at a time. This device features an extended shock and vibration range. The unit comprises a DeviceNet interface. It features a cost-optimized design in a compact housing. This coupler may pose a risk of injury if the safety instructions are not followed.

This product features an automatic baud rate detection facility. The device allows an extended number of bus terminal connections by using a terminal bus extension. This unit comprises components that are likely to get damaged due to electrostatic discharge. It should not be allowed to come in contact with highly insulating materials like plastic film and synthetic fibers. This coupler is fitted to a mounting rail of 35 mm in size. The products electric connection with a bus terminal is established using six spring contacts and power contacts. This device encompasses a protective earth power contact that is capacitively coupled to the associated mounting rail for electromagnetic compatibility. The unit operates with a 24 VDC power supply. Its left side has a recessed front surface.

This coupler has an RS 232 interface on the front panel at the bottom. The product functions using three independent potential groups. This device uses a 5-pin connector to connect the DeviceNet bus cable. The units address selectors must be adjusted only after the supply voltage is switched off. It performs a self-test as soon as it has been switched on. This bus coupler features bit orientation for its digital signals.
