Product Description:

Beckhoff's BK5210 DeviceNet Bus Coupler allows DeviceNet networks and modular I/O units communicate to each other. This coupler supports up to 64 Bus Terminals and is designed for industrial automation. It gives digital signal processing a scalable interface. The 5-pin fieldbus connection makes sure that it works with normal DeviceNet cables.

The BK5210 DeviceNet Bus Coupler can send data at 125 kbaud, 250 kbaud, or 500 kbaud, and the longest cable it can handle is either 500 m, 250 m, or 100 m, based on the speed you choose. The coupler has 256 digital inputs and outputs and works with Bit Strobe, Polling, Cyclic, and Change-of-State (COS) modes to handle data quickly. Based on DeviceNet specifications, the 24 V DC power source can provide up to 500 mA of input current and 70 mA of base current. The open pluggable port makes fieldbus integration easier, and a DIP switch sets the baud rates. To ensure that all of the linked terminals are able to communicate in a dependable manner, the coupler's K-bus is capable of handling currents of up to 500 milliamperes.

The BK5210 coupler is small and has spring-loaded terminals that make it easy to place on 35 mm DIN rails. It meets EN 61000-6-2/4 EMC standards and works well in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +55°C. It works with the KS2000 configuration tool, so you can change the parameters in a number of ways. The diagnostic LEDs on the DeviceNet communication adapter allow users to view the current state in real time, which speeds up the process of doing maintenance when it is needed. Its 32-byte input/output fieldbus makes sure that data sharing in distributed control systems is accurate.
