Product Description:
The BK4010 INTERBUS coupler is designed for high-density industrial automation systems. The coupler integrates seamlessly with modular I/O architectures, offering scalable connectivity for large-scale installations.
The BK4010 INTERBUS coupler allows for extensive system integration with its capability for up to 256 I/O modules and 4096 I/O points. A connection between modules is maintained by the coupler for a distance of 400 meters by utilizing LiYCY data wires measuring 3x2x0.22 mm2 and working at 500 kBaud. Both the dual vibration-protected D-SUB 9 connectors and the 24 V DC power supply are capable of withstanding voltage variations ranging from -15% to +20%. Additionally, the power source is able to provide secure bus connections. To protect itself from electrical interference, the coupler has a dielectric strength of 4000 Vrms and distributes 1750 mA through the K-Bus and 10 A through the power connections. This allows it to insulate itself from many forms of interference. With a data transmission completion time of 1.43 milliseconds, ten modules, each of which has 32-bit input/output, ensure that signal processing is completed quickly.
The BK4010 coupler maximizes space efficiency in intricate installations due to its high I/O density and longer module spacing. The average input current of 105 milliamperes (mA) decreases the amount of power that is consumed, and ruggedized connectors extend the longevity of the device. By conforming to industry standards, it is able to be compatible with a wide range of automation environments. This makes it a versatile option for applications that require a lot of flexibility. The coupler ensures that control systems and peripheral devices are able to communicate with one another in a dependable manner while also preserving strong electrical isolation and power distribution.
Frequently Asked Questions about BK4010:
Q: Why does BK4010 use LiYCY 3x2 cables?
A: LiYCY cables ensure noise-resistant data transmission over 400 m distances, maintaining signal integrity at 500 kBaud.
Q: Does BK4010 support analog I/O modules?
A: In order to ensure that the integration is as cost-effective as possible, it is restricted to 64 digital I/O terminals.
Q: How does BK4010 handle power fluctuations?
A: It accepts 24 V DC with -15% to +20% tolerance, stabilizing operations during voltage variations.
Q: Why is BK4010’s dielectric strength 4000 Vrms?
A: This prevents electrical breakdown between power contacts, supply voltage, and fieldbus components.
Q: How many I/O points does BK4010 support?
A: In order to facilitate large-scale system integration, it controls 4096 I/O points that are distributed among 256 modules.
