As a primary mover operating along a fixed magnet track, the unit produces direct linear thrust for gantries, pick-and-place axes, and process machines that require high acceleration without gears or ball screws. Direct drive operation removes mechanical transmission components that can introduce backlash, wear, and positioning errors. The segment is supplied without connectors, allowing machine builders to route custom cabling directly to the drive controller while maintaining a compact installation height. This configuration also gives system designers flexibility when arranging the motor cable and temperature sensor connections inside the machine.
The electromagnetic stack has 18 standard windings and operates continuously at a phase current of 6.45 A, generating a sustained thrust of 600 N when cooled by ambient air.
