Product Description:

The AL2009-0000-0001 is a 3-phase synchronous linear servomotor intended for precise positioning and dynamic motion control. This linear motor is part of Beckhoff’s AL20xx series, known for integration into automated systems needing high repeatability. The Beckhoff offers a compact design with an 80 mm motor width and an air gap of 0.5 mm, allowing efficient operation within constrained spaces.

The AL2009-0000-0001 linear motor allows different winding types, including the regular (N-type) and speed (S-type) windings. The N-type winding gives a maximum speed of 2.5 m/s with a peak current of 6.5 A and a peak force of 675 N. The S-type winding gets a higher maximum speed of 7.0 m/s, but with greater current consumption. The motor’s direct drive design eliminates mechanical components, reducing wear and allowing maintenance-free operation. The magnetic pitch is 24 mm, which adds to the motor’s high accuracy and precision. The voltage source is a 3-phase, 400–480 V AC system. For thermal management, especially when coupling multiple motors, the use of a temperature sensor is recommended. The model is not ideal for ATEX zones unless well contained, highlighting its use in regulated conditions in industrial automation.

The AL2009-0000-0001 linear motor>> offers a magnetic encoder system option for position feedback, improving accuracy. The motor’s compact width of 80 mm allows integration into larger automated systems. The coil unit is protected to IP64 standards, giving resistance to dust and Water intrusion. The motor’s magnetic plate can be paired with other AL20xx series plates for flexible system design. The magnetic pitch of 24 mm and the air gap of 0.5 mm allow precise control and repeatability. The design allows high dynamic performance with rapid acceleration and deceleration.

Frequently Asked Questions about AL2009-0000-0001:

Q: Why does AL2009-0000-0001 use a 0.5 mm air gap?

A: The 0.5 mm air gap ensures precise magnetic coupling and high repeatability in positioning tasks. It balances performance and mechanical tolerance.

Q: Does AL2009-0000-0001 support different winding types?

A: Yes, it supports N-type for normal operation and S-type for higher speeds with increased current consumption.

Q: How does natural convection cooling affect AL2009-0000-0001?

A: Natural convection requires a minimum 48 mm spacing between motors to dissipate heat effectively without additional cooling systems.

Q: Why is the peak current different for N-type and S-type windings?

A: S-type winding has higher peak current (13.0 A) to achieve maximum speed of 7.0 m/s, while N-type uses 6.5 A for lower speeds.

Q: Does AL2009-0000-0001 have protection against dust and water?

A: Yes, the coil unit has an IP64 protection class, providing resistance against dust ingress and water splashes.
