The Beckhoff AL2006-0001-0001 is a linear servo motor from the AL Linear Motors series with 6 coils and a weight of 1.5 kilograms. It delivers a continuous force of 200 Newtons when air cooled and has a peak force of 450 Newtons with a maximum velocity of 7 meters per second. The motor uses M23 and D-Sub connectors for connections and is built with speed winding, operating without water cooling.

Product Description:
The AL2006-0001-0001 coil module is manufactured by Beckhoff for the AL Linear Motors series in the company’s product range of linear servo motors. As the active mover in a linear stage, the unit converts drive current into thrust along a permanent-magnet track, eliminating the need for ball-screw or belt reductions. Machine builders use it to position gantries, pick-and-place axes, and high-speed conveyors with repeatable accuracy.
Under continuous operation, the coil draws 4.30 A, generating a sustained thrust of 200 N while dissipating 150 W of heat. For rapid indexing, the drive can supply a peak current of 13.1 A, allowing the mover to deliver up to 450 N of force for short bursts before reaching its thermal limits. The electromagnetic design comprises six coils with a speed winding configuration. The windings have an inductance of 28 mH and a resistance of 3.6 Ω, which affect current rise time and controller tuning. A motor constant of 380 N²/W relates force to copper loss and provides a reference for efficiency calculations. Connections to the drive and feedback chain use prefitted M23 and D-Sub connectors, simplifying cable installation.
The coil section weighs 1.5 kg and measures 80 mm in width, so the moving mass remains low even when multiple units are mounted in parallel. With a maximum rated velocity of 7 m/s, the winding can track high-speed motion profiles when the 24 mm pole pitch is matched to the magnetic platen. Magnetic attraction to the track reaches 950 N, and the guide system must support this load. The module has a thermal resistance of 0.48 °C/W and a thermal time constant of 77 s, allowing optional air cooling to stabilize its temperature without water cooling. Its voltage constant is 26.87 V/m/s, which assists the drive in estimating back electromotive force during dynamic deceleration.
