The AL2006-0000-0001 is a linear servo motor primary coil manufactured by Beckhoff and supplied within the AL Linear Motors series. Intended for direct-drive positioning stages and gantries, it produces thrust by interacting with a stationary magnet track, eliminating the mechanical transmissions commonly found in ball-screw or belt systems. This arrangement supports accurate and responsive linear motion in packaging lines, pick-and-place robots, and semiconductor tools. Removing intermediate transmission components can also reduce backlash and simplify the mechanical drive train.
Its rated continuous thrust reaches 200 N, providing the force needed to move moderate loads at a constant speed, while its short-term overload capability delivers a peak force of 450 N for rapid acceleration. The energizing current may rise to 6.5 A during these peak loads. Combined with the low moving mass, this performance permits translational speeds of up to 3.5 m/s across the travel path. A fixed pole pitch of 24 mm sets the magnetic wavelength that the motion controller must consider when selecting the position feedback resolution and commutation strategy. Proper coordination between the feedback device and the magnetic pitch supports smooth force production throughout the motor’s travel.
