As an iron-core mover segment, it mates with a ferromagnetic stator track to create electromagnetic thrust, enabling precise straight-line positioning without mechanical transmissions in packaging, assembly, and pick-and-place equipment. The unit has a standard winding and integrates six coils, allowing machine builders to combine multiple movers on a shared secondary rail while minimizing the space required for tooling. Its direct-drive arrangement eliminates components such as ball screws, belts, and gearboxes that can introduce backlash into a positioning system.
During steady operation, the mover produces a continuous thrust of 200 N while drawing 2.15 A from the drive amplifier; this relationship reflects the 24 mm pole pitch and the selected winding pattern.
