The AA3123-42H0-0000 electric cylinder is manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the A electric cylinder series. The unit combines the benefits of pneumatic cylinders with that of servo technology. It is ideal for direct drive for linear applications at high force and speeds. It is perfect for compact drive technology. The unit is compatible with ISO 15552 and gives simple conversion of pneumatic applications. It gives a simple and effective combination of the renowned force, dynamics, and compactness of pneumatics with the control that electric servo drives offer. The motor offers a smart feedback owing to its OCT technology and no separate encoders are required to record its feedback.
The AA3123-42H0-0000 electric motor comes with a host of exciting features. The motor is a permanent magnet-excited, 3 phase synchronous, with integrated spindle drive. It works with a low nominal range of 24 to 48 VDC and the output peak force is 2650 N. The unit can exert a consistent force of 650 N and requires a 32 A current for peak operation whereas only 8A consistent current is required for normal operation. The maximum speed of the motor is 0.56 m/s with a maximum acceleration of 20 m/s^2) of 150 mm. The spindle pitch of the unit is 10 mm with anti-twist protection and the unit cools using convection cooling. The motor gives a good quality 24 bit, SIL 2-capable, OCT feedback which requires less wiring. It can normally operate at a temperature range of 5 to 40 degree Celsius and it CE approved.
