A Electric Cylinders

Beckhoff A Electric Cylinders are electromechanical linear actuators that convert motor rotation into linear motion using a direct-driven ball screw designed for high axial force, precise positioning, and long service life.

The motor section uses permanent magnets and a three-phase stator winding, and it includes an integrated temperature sensor (LPTC-600) so the drive can monitor winding temperature and protect the unit against overheating. The series uses One Cable Technology (OCT) to transmit encoder feedback digitally over the motor cable via an integrated power/feedback connection, and it also includes an electronic identification plate for automatic parameterization in compatible drive systems. Mechanical integration is aimed at easy retrofit to pneumatic-cylinder form factors because the mounting points and dimensions are aligned to ISO 15552, with ordering options such as integrated anti-twist protection to ensure translatory spindle motion and an optional 24 VDC holding brake for standstill holding. For industrial use, the cylinders are specified for defined ambient conditions (including operation in a controlled temperature and humidity range) and are designed with a protected housing concept, with installation-position constraints and precautions to prevent liquid ingress or leakage at the spindle drive.
