Product Description:
The X90CP174.24-00 mobile controller includes an ARM Cortex-A9 CPU that works at 800 MHz, 512 MB of RAM, and IP69K protection, which means it can function in difficult situations. This is one of B & R Automation's X90 Mobile Controllers. It includes four ports for connecting to CAN and Ethernet. The X90CP174.24-00 controller module is part of B&R's X90 family. It is designed for decentralized automation on both mobile platforms and hard factory floors. It has a 650-MHz ARM Cortex-A9 at its heart and a separate floating-point unit that manages normal loop latencies without any problems. The 32 kB (kilo bytes) of L1 cache, the 512 kB of L2 hierarchy, and the on-chip I/O (Input/Output) processor that organizes background activities while the main threads run all help data travel.
The working set stays warm using 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM, while user programs and logs are stored on 1 GB of flash. Another 32 kB (kilo byte) of FRAM keeps important variables safe, and tests say it can hold them for more than 10 years even when the power goes off. The flash layer can handle 100 TB of writes and can be wiped or overwritten 100,000 times, which is plenty for most high-cycle uses.
Built-in ECC protects the stored data against silent corruption, and a real-time clock with a 250-hour hold-up at 25 C marks events with the right level of accuracy. The X90CP174.24-00 has a single Gigabit Ethernet socket, a USB-K Type A connection, three distinct CANbuses, and one specialized POWERLINK port for real-time networking. It's easy to sew the module into any fieldbus or shop-floor topology because of that mix.
