Product Description:
The X67DV1311.L08 is a remote digital I/O module engineered by B&R Automation for the X67 Analog Input/Output Modules series. Intended for decentralized control architectures, the device interfaces with sensors and actuators directly on machinery, forwarding status and command data over a single fieldbus cable instead of numerous parallel leads. By combining high-density input and output resources in an IP67 housing, the unit can reduce cabinet space and shorten wiring runs. The sealed enclosure also supports reliable signal transmission in demanding industrial environments where dust, moisture, oil, or coolant may be present.
The input section provides 16 input channels that share a common reference and operate in a sink configuration, so each sensor switches the negative side while the module supplies the positive rail. Field conductors terminate on an M8 circular connector that locks with a quarter-turn, allowing premolded cable assemblies to be connected securely. Before reaching the sampling circuitry, every line passes through a configurable filter, allowing the programmer to select debounce times that suit mechanical contacts or high-speed electronic signals. Logic power for the entire input bank is supplied at 24 VDC, matching the voltage commonly used by inductive proximity detectors and photoelectric switches. The shared electrical arrangement allows densely grouped status signals to reach the controller without requiring separate external interface boards.
The output stage provides sixteen channels, and each channel can drive a load of up to 0.1 A per channel. All outputs are routed through one output connector, which concentrates field wiring at a single connection point. The interface uses an M16 threaded coupling that provides a secure connection and seals the contact area against oil and coolant spray. The output drivers can directly operate low-current devices such as pneumatic valve interfaces, indicator lamps, and small relays when their electrical requirements remain within the module’s limits. Integrated short-circuit monitoring detects output faults locally, reducing the amount of diagnostic traffic required to identify an affected field circuit. The remote mounting design places signal termination close to connected equipment, which reduces long parallel cable runs between the machine and its main control cabinet.
