Product Description:
The X67DM1321-C01 is an industrial remote I/O module produced by B&R Automation for the X67 Analog Input Output Modules series. Designed for decentralized control systems, this unit receives discrete field signals and controls connected devices through the X2X real-time network. In an automation cell, it serves as a compact node that converts 24-volt sensor inputs and actuator commands into digital data for higher-level PLCs. Its rugged construction supports installation near machinery, reducing the amount of field wiring that must be routed back to a central control cabinet.
Each of the module’s 8 digital I/O channels can be configured individually as an input or a low-side output, allowing flexible signal assignment during setup. Pulse streams, including encoder signals, are captured by the integrated counter stage, which accepts edge frequencies up to 50 kHz. When the channels are used as outputs, the sink drivers supply up to 0.5 A per point, providing sufficient current for compatible contactors or indicator lamps. The logic electronics operate from a nominal 24 VDC field supply. The module dissipates 2.50 W of internal power during operation, which supports thermal planning for sealed installations. A software-selectable input filter helps reject contact bounce and electrical noise without requiring external filtering components.
The IP67 housing measures 42 mm deep, 53 mm wide, and 85 mm high, allowing the device to mount alongside other block I/O modules on a machine frame without an additional protective enclosure. The sealed housing helps prevent dust and water from reaching internal electronics in demanding industrial locations. Two event counters are available for task-related diagnostics, and configurable filtering supports stable event detection when input signals contain brief disturbances. The X2X communication cable also carries auxiliary power between connected devices. In this model, the bus consumes 0.75 W, which should be included when calculating the available power for multiple daisy-chained nodes. The compact enclosure and configurable channels help reduce installation space while accommodating several sensor and actuator types within one remote node.
