Product Description:
B&R Automation manufactured the X67CA0X01.0020 for the X67 Analog Input Output Modules series. The cable links distributed field I/O blocks to the central controller, transmitting sensor signals and auxiliary power while maintaining a sealed connection on the plant floor. By using the same ruggedized interface found on the modules, it allows I/O to be placed outside the cabinet without adding extra terminal strips or protective enclosures.
Its 2 m length supports short drop connections with negligible voltage loss. One end is male and the other is female, enabling daisy-chain topology, and each plug is keyed with B-coding to prevent mismating. The straight M12, 4-pin connector forms the primary seal that supports the cable’s IP67 ingress protection once tightened. The cable has a maximum working voltage of 250 V and a continuous current rating of 4 A/contact at 40 °C, which matches 24 V DC I/O rails. Inside the jacket, two signal conductors with a 2x 0.25 mm² cross-section help reduce crosstalk, and data integrity is further supported by a resistance figure of ≤78 Ω/km. A separate power pair carries supply energy to downstream modules, so sensor and supply lines remain combined in one cable run.
Signal quality is reinforced by tinned copper braiding with >85% coverage, which attenuates electromagnetic noise. Over that shield, a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) sheath resists oil, abrasion, and repeated flex cycles. The power cores provide a 2x 0.34 mm² area, limiting voltage drop to ≤55 Ω/km across the run. Insulation resistance of ≥100 MΩ prevents leakage under high humidity, while the linear mass of 0.063 kg/m keeps drag in cable carriers low. This combination helps the cable stay stable around moving equipment and near drives or motors that can introduce electrical noise.
