The X67AT1402 is an analog thermocouple input module in the X67 Analog Input Output Modules series from B&R Automation. Installed directly on machinery, it acquires low-level voltage signals from temperature probes and forwards conditioned data over the X2X real-time network, allowing the controller to monitor and adjust heating or cooling functions without long sensor wiring runs. By placing measurement electronics in the field, the module increases accuracy and reduces cabinet space in distributed industrial automation architectures.

Each of the four differential channels uses a 16-bit converter so the controller receives 65,536 discrete temperature steps rather than a coarse approximation.
