The X67AT1322 is a temperature input module produced by B&R Automation as part of the X67 Analog Input/Output Modules series. Intended for distributed control, the module conditions signals from resistance-based temperature probes and sends precise values to the automation system. Locating the measurement electronics close to the process reduces wiring back to the central cabinet and improves noise immunity in industrial environments. It belongs to the X67 family, which shares a common mechanical format and uses screw-on connectors suitable for installation directly on machinery.
The module uses the resistance measurement method to calculate temperature, so it accepts Pt100, Pt1000, KTY10, and KTY84 sensors. A resolution of 0.1 K permits detailed monitoring of process temperatures or motor windings. The internal electronics consume 1.50 W, with power supplied through the X2X backplane and heat dissipated through the sealed housing. Field wiring reaches the electronics through an M12 5-pin connector, and the full 360-degree shield contact clamps the cable shield to maintain signal integrity. The channels support either two-wire or four-wire configurations, providing flexibility for installations with different cable lengths and accuracy requirements. Four-wire connections compensate for lead resistance and are particularly useful when the sensor is installed far from the module. Mechanical attachment uses an M4 mounting screw, allowing the housing to be secured directly to the machine structure.
Network integration is handled by the X2X Link, and the module provides one input port and one output port to support a daisy-chain topology. Copper segments can extend up to 100 m between modules without repeaters, simplifying communication across large machine layouts. The upstream interface uses an M12 B-keyed connector that mates with standard X2X cabling and helps prevent connection to incompatible interfaces. During operation, the communication segment draws 0.75 W from the link, which must be considered when determining the permitted number of nodes on the supply. The compact housing and shielded connections help protect low-level resistance signals from electrical interference near motors, drives, and switching equipment.
