Product Description:
The X67AO1223 is manufactured by B&R Automation and belongs to the X67 Analog Input Output Modules series. This component is an analog output module that attaches directly to a machine frame and feeds precise voltage references to drives, valves, and process instruments. By extending the X2X Link fieldbus out to sensors and actuators, it removes the need for long analog cable runs and places signal conditioning close to the load point in an industrial automation cell.
The module offers 4 individually isolated voltage channels, allowing simultaneous control of multiple actuators from one node. Each channel delivers signals across a ±10 V span, so it can support both unipolar and bipolar control loops without external scaling circuitry. A 12-bit converter assigns 4096 discrete steps to the output swing, giving fine-grained setpoint resolution for proportional valves or speed references. The housing is sealed to IP67, meaning it blocks dust ingress and withstands low-pressure water jets for cabinet-free installation on moving machine parts. Signal integrity is preserved by continuous 360° shielding that surrounds the analog conductors and diverts electromagnetic interference away from the signal path.
Network layout flexibility is supported by a maximum X2X drop of 100 m between modules, so remote clusters can be positioned across large machinery without repeaters. Up to 253 of these I/O nodes can share a single X2X line, giving high channel density while maintaining deterministic scan times. Electrical connection is made through a field-wiring-friendly M12 B-Keyed connector that locks against vibration and prevents mismating with other coded plugs. Internal routing follows the series convention of A input and B output, making channel assignment clear during setup and simplifying diagnostics in distributed control architectures.
