In packaging and assembly lines, the unit captures images, runs a predefined vision algorithm, and sends pass or fail results to the machine controller.
Driven by a Cortex A9 i.MX6 quad core processor clocked at 800 MHz, the sensor performs image acquisition and analysis internally. The four cores share 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, which keeps pattern libraries and image buffers on board and reduces network traffic during inspection cycles. A unified 1 MB L2 cache helps speed filter operations, and the standard preprocessing variant keeps response time predictable. The hardware also supports line-sensor inputs for web inspection work.
