Its processing section is built around a Cortex A9 i.MX6 dual core SoC that operates at 800 MHz, and the two cores allow parallel inspection steps while maintaining deterministic cycle times. A standard preprocessing variant is supplied, and the unit comes in the standard hardware option for this model, so its parameter sets match the included library algorithms. Image data are buffered in 1 GB of DDR3 RAM so full-frame analysis occurs without swapping. The sensor captures scenes at a native resolution of 3.5 MP, and the imager can stream up to 43 fps, letting the same camera cover both slow indexers and high-speed conveyors. Because only one active vision function runs locally, CPU load remains predictable and networking bandwidth is conserved.

Optical parameters are matched to demanding inspections: the viewing angle is 37°, paired with an 8 mm focal length lens in an F4 1/1.8" assembly for edge sharpness. The S-mount interface supports lens installation, and a glass front window with a polarizing filter suppresses glare from parts. Illumination is delivered by 16 LEDs arranged as four multicolored segments, and LED lens type 2 spreads red, blue, IR, or white light evenly across the field. The design does not support UV emitters or type 1 lenses. A 512 kB L2 cache supports context switching between acquisition and preprocessing tasks, and line-sensor mode is omitted to focus on area-scan performance.
