The VSS112R14.033P-000 is a smart vision sensor produced by B & R Automation within the VS Smart Sensors series. It is classified as a smart sensor in the integrated machine vision range. This self-contained design simplifies inspection and identification tasks where compact verification is required. Image capture and processing are handled by a Cortex A9 i.MX6 dual core processor that operates at 800 MHz and is supported by 1 GB of RAM plus a 512 kB L2 cache. That combination supports local image analysis without relying on an external controller for every inspection cycle. Segmented lighting allows the sensor to adapt illumination to varied surfaces, colors, and reflectivity during detection.
