Classified under the Integrated Machine Vision product range, it combines imaging, optics, lighting, and computation into a compact assembly that mounts directly on production equipment. The device executes one active vision function per cycle and returns pass-or-fail information to the controller without external PCs. It is supplied in the standard variant option and is suitable for presence checks, code reading, or simple guidance tasks in automated packaging, assembly, and material-handling lines.

Its embedded computing hardware is headed by an 800 MHz Cortex A9 i.MX6 dual core processor, giving two symmetrical processing cores for parallel image analysis. An on-chip 512 kB L2 cache reduces external memory access, while 1 GB of DDR3 RAM stores frame buffers and lookup tables used during preprocessing, matching the sensor's standard performance level. At maximum sensor throughput, the imager delivers 165 fps at a native 1.3 MP resolution, so features such as blob detection or edge localization can be evaluated on fast-moving parts. The sensor is also suitable for line-sensor web inspection tasks, and dedicated hardware acceleration helps maintain deterministic cycle times even when complex lighting corrections are active.

The optical front end is tuned for close-range machine cells. A 6 mm F3.5 lens sits in an S-mount and gives a horizontal field of view of 74°. The front glass carries an anti-reflective coating to limit glare from metallic parts, and a wide-beam LED lens directs illumination from the internally synchronized array of 16 LEDs. Those LEDs emit in selectable R / B / IR / White channels so contrast can be adapted without external light bars. Power, Ethernet, and I/O connections terminate directly at the sensor body, which helps keep cabling compact.
