This compact approach places image capture and evaluation directly at the point of use. The unit is designed to run one active machine-vision function at a time, which helps keep processing behavior consistent during routine operation.

Inside the sensor, a Cortex A9 i.MX6 dual core processor running at 800 MHz handles image analysis. System memory includes 1 GB of RAM, which buffers incoming image data and supports stable execution of the configured routine. It is suited to predictable single-task inspection without requiring separate external computing hardware. The imager records at 3.5 MP resolution and can reach 43 fps. That combination gives the device enough detail for feature detection while maintaining throughput for faster part movement.
