It combines optics, lighting, and onboard processing in one S-mount housing, which lets machine builders perform inspection, identification, or guidance tasks directly at the machine without extra cabinet hardware. Because image capture and evaluation occur inside the unit, it reduces the need for a separate external controller for basic deployment.
An embedded Cortex A9 i.MX6 processor clocks at 800 MHz and uses 2 cores to run one active vision function with stable cycle behavior under continuous operation. Its 512 kB L2 cache helps shorten image-preprocessing delays before evaluation begins. System memory totals 1 GB of DDR3 RAM, giving the sensor room to buffer frames and retain configuration data during operation in local memory.
