In operation, the camera runs one active vision task and sends pass or fail results directly to the PLC.
Processing is handled by a Cortex A9 i.MX6 dual core running at 800 MHz. The platform includes 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and an 512 kB L2 cache, which support image conditioning, thresholding, and feature extraction on the device itself. Because acquisition and analysis can proceed in parallel, the camera can keep pace with fast inspection cycles while reducing the computational load on the host PLC.
The optical system uses a fixed-mount lens with a 37° angle of view and captures images at a native resolution of 1.3 MP.
