It is intended to replace separate cameras and industrial PCs, which simplifies cabling and control in automation cells.

At its core, a Cortex A9 i.MX6 dual core processor drives the image pipeline at a clock frequency of 800 MHz. 1 GB of RAM buffers multiple frames while the single active vision function runs in the standard preprocessing variant. The 1/3-inch CMOS sensor records scenes at 1.3 MP and streams them at up to 90 fps, enabling fast reject or pick-and-place routines. The device is supplied without LED lighting or an LED lens, so external illumination must be selected for the application, and line-sensor operation is not supported.
